HYPOTHERMIA Pilot Tour spring 2010

Featuring core company actor Ben Langford this production of a premiere text-based play written by Artistic Director Vanessa Brooks opened to critical acclaim at the Lawrence Batley Theatre Huddersfield before playing the round at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.
“This is a piece which rightly disturbs…Theatre at its most powerful makes us more fully alive, more individual and yet more closely connected to each other. It can also shake the passivity that history proves can be so dangerous…Deserves to be widely seen” Val Javin. Huddersfield Examiner.
The quality of production and performance is excellent and the theme is interesting and pertinent to our times. I loved the physicality of it and thought Ben held his own among a strong cast” Audience Feedback
“I didn’t know what to expect but if I’m honest I wasn’t expecting to be utterly and totally engrossed from start to finish. I often drift during theatre but my concentration never faltered as it was such a well written and performed piece. Not knowing the story also meant I was surprised that it was so thought provoking” Audience Feedback
“This is just great theatre. Pure and Simple. Whoever’s acting in it and whatever the disability- who cares this is excellent stuff”. Audience Feedback.
THAT WAS THEN THIS IS NOW (2009)

6 core company actors toured a mixed media show, part film, part live performance, looking at history, memory and the clouding effect of nostalgia.
“A beautiful, stripped-back-to-basics quality that makes this show really stand out, this picture perfect show is not to be missed”. Huddersfield Examiner.
Heaven Lives In Holmfirth (2010)

An ensemble of eleven core company actors toured a poignant and gripping odyssey into the third millennium, in the age after the final ice melt when a corporation rules a watery-covered earth.
“It was a great ensemble performance. It was the best example I've ever seen of combining quite experimental physical theatre with strong storytelling” Audience Feedback
“Very impressed. A great production which could be enjoyed on several levels. FB&TV reflect what is best about an inclusive society – providing a creative voice where there is a tendency to obsess about the practicalities of life. This is real theatre for real people” Audience Feedback
“I think the FB&TV actors offered surprising and unique qualities as performers. Their commitment and understanding was great and I was delighted at how much thought and industry had gone into the work. This wasn’t a straightforward or simplistic piece of storytelling but a challenging and engaging piece of theatre that sent ripples through the imaginations of the participants and the audience” Audience Feedback
HYPOTHERMIA National Tour autumn 2010

Featuring James Munton, FB&TV core company actor, HYPOTHERMIA opened at Huddersfield University before touring across the U.K to venues in the round including Leicester Peepuls Centre, Dukes Lancaster, Cockpit London and Hull Truck.
“I saw Hypothermia last night and was absolutely blown away. It was so incredibly moving and I was touched by the honesty of the writing. Your use of physical theatre was spot-on.” Audience feedback.
“I was lucky enough to see Hypothermia at the SJT starring Ben Langford. James Muntons’ performance made it clear to me that different performers will always bring a different edge or interpretation to character. James was Very, very good. Confident and passionate, he embraced every aspect of his character; an absolutely brilliant performance” Audience Feedback.
“I saw Hypothermia last night with a friend , it was amazing. The cast were brilliant .To be able to portray such a moving story with such passion , the way you felt the chemistry between cast members , but also each individual brought their own depth to the characters , I feel I want to see the play again to see the bits I missed , facial expressions , empathy, anger, love, hate , we had it all and that was down to the amazing cast and production team .” Audience feedback.
“Your play is very powerful. It’s stayed with us and grown in the process of time as I knew it would. Some plays do that don’t they? When they are rich. They hang around and grow. A wonderful piece of work”. Audience feedback.
“It really is very good. I was impressed on so many levels and I’m generally a difficult audience. I wish you all the best with it and that it gets the recognition it really deserves and that FB&TV deserves”. Audience feedback.
Earlier productions include PINNOCHIO, IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF MR. BUTLER, SCENE CHANGES, KNOCK KNOCK, HARD SHOES, ECHO STONE, MUSICAL CHAIRS and OFF LIMITS.
